Debbie Garcia is determined to continue her legal battle against Barbie Imperial

Vivamax actress Debbie Garcia said that she is standing up for herself and this is the reason why she is not withdrawing the case she filed against Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial.

Debbie and Barbie‘s conflict started at a bar in Quezon City. CCTV footage showed that Barbie hit Debbie and after that, the latter went to a nearby police station to file a blotter report.

Then, Debbie filed slight physical injury, grave oral defamation, at grave slander by deed cases against Barbie. Amid this issue, the Kapamilya actress remained silent. The Vivamax actress also refused to say further details about the case as she was advised by her legal counsel to avoid making a comment regarding the legalities of this issue.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, Debbie Garcia expressed her determination to pursue the cases she filed against Barbie Imperial.

“I guess, for me kasi bago siya e, siguro ‘yung kung paano ko siya na handle. I guess I’m just standing for myself kasi I think no one deserves to be treated with violence and naniniwala ako doon,” she said, adding that she is also standing up for those who went through the same situation that she had.

Debbie reiterated that she will not speak anymore about legal matters, especially since she has no recent update about this. While going through the issue, she opted to take a break from social media.

It was a conscious effort on her part to lie low from using social media because she knows that her mental health is important. She avoided reading comments online as she knows that the most important thing is the support that she gets from her loved ones.
