Joshua Garcia was not Julia Barretto’s first onscreen kiss

Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia had this reaction with his former loveteam partner and ex-girlfriend Julia Barretto said that her first onscreen kiss was with her current boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

Joshua and Julia were known together as the JoshLia loveteam. They did TV series and movies but their intimacy onscreen was in the wholesome spectrum despite they became a couple in real life.

This year, Joshua and Julia are set to have their reunion movie titled Un/Happy For You. In an interview, the actor admitted that somehow, they had to adjust again in order for the chemistry to be there.

The actress shared that it felt like something new but at the same time, there was a certain level of familiarity between them. Their fans are eagerly waiting for this reunion project to happen.

In an interview with ABS-CBN showbiz reporter MJ Felipe, Julia mentioned that her first onscreen kiss was with Gerald. They worked together in the 2018 film Between Maybes.

With the five years they spent as JoshLia loveteam, they never had their onscreen kiss together. The first onscreen kiss that Joshua had was with Janella Salvador. “Mine is with Gerald,” Julia said.

With what the actress said, Joshua jokingly gasped pretending that he was in pain, and put his hand on his chest. He smiled as Julia said, “Sira ulo ka talaga, ang galing galing mo talaga.” The actress even clapped her hands as she jokingly applauded Joshua’s acting. This clip was shared on the TikTok page of ABS-CBN PR. Fans in the comment section were gushing over their chemistry.
