Mindoro Residents Expresses Concern Over Mysterious Bubbles Appeared on Shore
Mindoro residents got alarmed after knee-deep
bubbles appeared along the coastal area of the village.
A netizen named Gio Daprosa was able to film the
bubbles that appeared along the coastal area of barangay in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. The bubbles have a length of a few kilometers.
In the video, it can be seen that the bubbles were floating atop of the water as the ocean brings it to the shore. The scenery looks like someone makes it laundry in the area due to the massive amount of bubbles.
The video has been taken last August 8, 2021. The bubbles appeared at the beach during a high tide, according to the residents. The villagers find it as an extraordinary event because of most them were not able to witness such incident.
Most of the villagers explained that it was their first time to experience such events.
“Lahat po kami nagtak kung saan po galling ‘yun. Matagal na pong nawala kasi mga 9 am bago siya unti-unting nawala eh,”
The Occidental Mindoro Environmental Management Office has sent personnel to investigate the incident. The office also claimed that it was a natural phenomena related to spawning.
“Parang it’s an indicator na ‘pag nagkaroon po ng ganoon during the rainy season, parang dumadami nap o ‘yung naririnig nating bangus fry o similya ng bangus. So, parang’yun po ‘yung indicator na pagka-naglabasan na ‘yung foam na ‘yun, marami na ring naglalabasang bangus fry sa paligid,”
Provincial Environmental Management Office (PEMO) Alex Coden said.
The authorities would also check the water samples to determine the origin of the bubbles.
