2 Motorcycles in Negros Oriental Almost Catch Fire After Being Exposed to Scorching Sun Heat

Two motorcycles in Negros Oriental parked outside a house nearly caught fire due to the scorching heat of the sun.

Recently, a Facebook user named Kiara Andaya shared photos of two motorcycles that were nearly engulfed in flames due to the scorching heat of the weather. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions online.

Andaya urges public awareness, especially during this period of intense heat. The incident happened around 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday (April 16, 2024).

The lady suspects that the motorcycle’s mirrors were positioned in such a way that they reflected the intense sunlight directly onto the seats, possibly causing them to ignite.

The woman informed the public not to don’t underestimate the danger of exposing our belongings to the scorching heat, which can easily lead to a fire. Their motorcycle had no proper cover, and the reflection of the sun’s heat on it likely caused the fire.

She described how the intense heat caused huge damage, even prompting nearby animals to react. Expressing gratitude for the safety of her family, Andaya thanked the Lord and an anonymous neighbor who helped extinguish the fire.

The incident reminds the public to take precautions during periods of extreme heat. It points out the importance of protecting belongings from prolonged exposure to high temperatures, as it can pose serious risks such as fire hazards.

(This happened yesterday around 3:20 PM. Please don’t underestimate the risk of our belongings being exposed to extreme heat, which can easily cause a fire.

Our motorcycle’s seat coverings were severely damaged, and my sibling’s motorcycle had no proper cover either. The reflection of the sun’s heat on our motorcycle seats likely caused the fire.

The flames grew significantly, and I even noticed a neighboring dog barking incessantly, likely due to the intense heat. Our dogs were also visibly affected by the heat, remaining unusually quiet. We are incredibly thankful to the Lord that our family is safe. We are also grateful to an anonymous neighbor who helped extinguish the fire. We don’t know who you are, but thank you so much for your timely assistance. Thank you, Lord, for keeping our family safe, and while our motorcycles may need repairs, our main concern is the safety of our loved ones)
