A TikToker shared a video of their family reunion, showcasing the difference between his dad’s and mom’s sides.
Recently, TikTok user @itz_ryojen or Toji Hwang from Malolos, Bulacan, shared a video clip of their family reunion emphasizing the distinction between his father’s and mother’s sides. The video elicited various reactions from the online community.
Hwang mentioned that both family reunions happened on the same day. He shared that spending time with relatives from both sides was enjoyable.
According to Hwang, the atmosphere at his father’s side was characterized by “chill catch-ups,” where the focus was primarily on sharing meals and engaging in parlor games with cash prizes. He mentioned that while there were drinking sessions, they were usually among the men and involved hard drinks, albeit not excessively, as some relatives lived far away.
“Sa father side, more on kainan [o] handaan tapos ang bonding ay parlor games na may cash prize lagi. Nag-iinuman pero more on boys lang, and mostly, mga hard drinks pero hindi sagaran kasi malalayo ibang kamag-anak,” Hwang said.
On the other hand, Hwang described the reunion with his mother’s side as “balagbag” or chaotic, featuring lively parties and endless drinking, giving the impression of a never-ending celebration.
He explained that since most of the relatives from his mother’s side lived within the same compound, the gatherings were continuous and spirited.
“Sa mother side naman, more on party and inuman talaga yung parang walang bukas kasi halos nasa isang compound lang kaming mother side,” he added.
