Female Driver Claims to be General’s Niece, Stopped after Passing Through EDSA Busway

NAME DROP? – A female driver claimed to be the niece of a general after she was apprehended on the EDSA busway.

On Thursday morning (April 11, 2024), an SUV with plate number 7 was stopped and apprehended by authorities on the EDSA busway. The driver reportedly committed a traffic violation.

A lady driver passing through the EDSA Carousel in Makati was blocked by the DOTR Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT), but the driver refused to give his license.

The lady violator defended herself, saying she was a member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and also the niece of a general. ‘Pamangkin ako ni general, I’m military, I’m from afp,’ she said.

While being issued a ticket, she also said a lot of things and didn’t want to give her license.

In the video, the traffic enforcer apprehended the lady driver for passing through the EDSA busway, which is considered a violation of traffic rules and regulations. The woman may cause an accident because of her actions.

‘Pamangkin ako ni general, I’m military, I’m from afp,’ she said.

The road officer politely approached the female driver and informed her about her violation. The woman refused to submit to the traffic personnel and refused to surrender her license and vehicle documents.

The traffic offender apologized for her actions and explained that she would not pass through the busway again.

The Land Transportation Office also issued a Show-Cause order to the traffic violator.
