Alden Richards Says He Wants To Meet Chris Hemsworth, Here’s Why
ALDEN RICHARDS – Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards revealed why he attended Chris Hemsworth’s “Extraction 2” press event.
On June 5, the red carpet gala and premiere night of Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth’s new Netflix movie “Extraction 2” was attended by prominent celebrities. Hemsworth, who plays Tyler Rake in “Extraction 2,” and the movie’s director Sam Hargrave arrived in Manila for the movie’s premiere.
Both were visiting Manila for the first time; during a two-day program that included a press conference and the movie’s red carpet premiere, they were warmly welcomed and had the chance to interact with local celebrities, members of the media, influencers, and fans.
At the press conference on June 5, Chris Hemsworth said, “I feel excited to be here. Thank you very much for the warm welcome.” Sam Hargrave expressed his joy at being in the nation and his pride in his follow-up movie.
Based on a report from Philstar, over 800 people were allowed to watch their favorite stars walk the red carpet at SM Mall of Asia. To loud applause from the audience, both celebrities entered the red carpet and spent some time signing posters and posing for pictures. One particularly fortunate superfan even gained access to the stage for a photo opportunity.
Alden Richards, Alodia Gosiengfiao-Quimbo, and Miguel Tanfelix are just a few of the local influencers and celebrities who showed up on the red carpet. Derek Ramsey, Malaysia’s Aaron Aziz and Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin, Ananda Everingham and Nawat Kulrattanarak from Thailand, and other well-known action stars from Asia all posed for a special portrait with Chris and Sam on stage.

When we asked Kapuso star Alden Richards if he’d be willing to do hard action in his forthcoming films, he replied, “I never say no to exciting new opportunities.” Alden was interviewed during the splashy party that Netflix Philippines threw for the press launch of “Extraction” last Sunday.
Alden is now more than prepared to take on physically demanding roles to further broaden his boundaries and increase his body of work given how consistently the 31-year-old actor follows his workout regimen.
“I’ve long looked up to Chris Hemsworth as an actor; that’s why I’m here. So I would be thrilled to meet him…”
“Aside from that, I’d also welcome opportunities to develop projects with Netflix and the other streaming companies, like Prime Video and Disney+,” said Alden.
According to the report, Alden Richards also revealed that ‘Victor Magtanggol’ was inspired by ‘Thor.’ The Pinoy actor portrayed a regular Joe in the action-drama series that aired from July to November 2018 and rose to the occasion when he was left the Mjölnir, the formidable hammer of the thunder god.
