6.5-magnitude quake strikes Davao Occidental waters

(Eagle News) — A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Sunday, Dec. 5.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake struck at 7:48 a.m.

The epicenter was 291 kilometers southeast of Sarangani.

The depth of focus was 166 kilometers.

No damage to property was expected but aftershocks were.
