Man Fatally Stricken by Heart Attack During Festivities in San Carlos, Negros Occidental

A man died of a heart attack after experiencing overwhelming joy from winning a game during a festival in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

A heart attack, also known as a myocardial infarction, occurs when the blood flow to a part of the heart is blocked for a long enough time that part of the heart muscle is damaged or dies. It is often caused by a buildup of plaque fat, and cholesterol in the coronary arteries, which supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle.

Symptoms of a heart attack can vary but may include chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, nausea, sweating, and pain or discomfort in the arms, back, neck, jaw, or stomach.

It’s important to seek immediate medical attention if you or someone else experiences these symptoms, as prompt treatment can help prevent further damage to the heart muscle and improve the chances of survival.

Recently, a man lost his life during the festive celebration in Sitio Ulay, Barangay Prosperidad in San Carlos City. The victim was identified as Jolito Reoyan.

Barangay Captain Nestor Tranilla said that Reoyan was struck by a heart attack when he experienced overwhelming joy after winning a game during the festive celebration in the area. Several minutes later, the victim suddenly collapsed.

Tranilla immediately called for an ambulance to transport the victim to the hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, due to serious complications in Reoyan’s condition, he succumbed to the attack.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially during moments of excitement and celebration. It also emphasizes the need for quick medical attention in case of emergencies.
