The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video footage of bike patrol teams roaming around the town to apprehend the vehicle drivers and motorcycle riders using the

. The video garnered various reactions from the netizens.

In the video, it can be seen that the bike patrol teams under Green Transport Office – DPOS is clearing the bicycle lanes from obstructions. The personnel were apprehending the motorists obstructing the

bike lanes

.

The road officers are issuing violation tickets towards the vehicle drivers and motorcycle riders occupying the lane. It would be a lesson to Filipino motorists to respect the bicycle lanes.

The traffic personnel is also apprehending cyclists without helmets due to the ordinance in Quezon City that requires all cyclists to wear a helmet. The city has been providing free helmets to cyclist after implementing the ordinance.

Quezon City continue to act on complaints about bicycle lanes being obstructed by parked vehicles and being overtaken by motorcycle riders.

Aside from that, they also apprehend cyclists caught without helmets, since there is an ordinance in Quezon City which requires all cyclists to wear a helmet.

Quezon City Government gave away thousands of free helmets before they began enforcing that ordinance.
