Seized were three sachets of marijuana ready for distribution to illegal drug users in the village.

The suspect is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In December last year, the United Nations (UN) Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) removed marijuana from the most dangerous category of drugs.

However, the Dangerous Drugs Board and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, maintained that the country’s drug laws would prevail in terms of marijuana use.
