Joey de Leon As “Presidente Ganda,” Greets “Vice” & “Ion”

Henyo Master Joey de Leon greeted “Vice” and “Ion” as he introduced “Presidente Ganda” on the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.

Joey has introduced different characters on television and in movies. Over the years, his iconic characters brought laughter and entertainment to many people. In a recent episode of their noontime show on TV5, he once again introduced a new character.

On April 20, Saturday, Joey came out on the EB stage dressed in a vibrant pink dress and with a blonde wig. She called himself “Precy,” based on the article in Balita.

“Ang pangalan ko po ay Precy, short for Presidente. Presidente Ganda, okay?” the Henyo Master quipped. Then, he said his greeting to two people. “Nais ko lang batiin ang aking Vice, hi! Hello, Presidente Ganda reporting,” he said.

Then, he mentioned his “loves” named “Ion.” “Ay, batiin ko rin ‘yung loves ko, si Ion,” Joey said. When his co-host Allan K asked who Ion is, Joey said, “Ion Veneracion, sino ba? Noong past life namin anak ko ‘yun. Ngayon, love team na kami.”

Joey had this skit after the clarification he made about the write-ups alleging him to be challenging Kapamilya noontime show to reach its 15th year.

To recall, Joey, along with Tito Sotto and Vic Sotto, slammed the rumors that they are losing money in their show and that Eat Bulaga which has been “running” from network to network will go off-air because of their financial struggles.

However, TVJ stressed that there is no truth to these rumors and they criticized social media pages and personalities who are spreading these lies. After that, Joey was accused of challenging the noontime show led by Unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda.

Through his Instagram post on April 19, Joey clarified that the challenge he said was not intended for It’s Showtime but for those who were spreading lies on social media.

Joey de Leon also stressed that there is no conflict between them and the Kapamilya noontime show. He added that they love It’s Showtime and those in the Kapamilya show are not their enemy. The Henyo Master also told people not to make them and It’s Showtime fight each other.
