Janella Salvador Manager Speaks About Reason For Concert Postponement

The manager of Kapamilya actress-singer Janella Salvador spoke about the reason for the postponement of her 10th-anniversary concert titled Reimagined.

Janella has come a long way since she was introduced as a Kapamilya talent. Under Star Magic, the talent management company of ABS-CBN, the actress started her journey in showbiz.

Although she took a break for a few years, she was able to return and still remained a Kapamilya star.

It was recently announced that she will have her anniversary concert for being in the industry for a decade. However, on April 10, Star Music, the music label under ABS-CBN announced that the concert was postponed because of unforeseen circumstances.

Janella Salvador did not directly speak about this but she poked fun at her concert being postponed. She retweeted the post about the concert postponement and wrote that she was “paos” and “kayo na lang.”

The actress-singer was referring to her viral statement when she was asked to give a sample during her guesting on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.

In a recent statement released by Janella Salvador’s manager Manny Valera, he shared the true reason why the concert that was supposed to take place on April 19 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City was postponed.

The manager said that it was because of the health condition of Janella’s son Jude. “Nagka-pneumonia [si Jude], basta nagkasakit and he needed to be hospitalized at St. Luke’s,” he said.

Manny also said that Jude was in the ICU for five days and Janella’s mind was not at ease because of this. As the actress-singer spent a week in the hospital, her preparation for the concert was derailed.

“Aside from that, siyempre you missed the band rehearsal. She also missed ‘yung mga mall show. Nag-pack up kami ng apat o lima kasi hindi siya maka-focus dahil ang utak niya nasa anak, ‘di ba?” the manager shared.

Manny also shared that Janella is targeting to hold the concert in September. She wanted to focus on her other responsibilities before the concert. The manager said that Janella still has promotion engagements for her movie Mallari in Singapore.

She is also doing the series How to Be a Good Wife with Jane de Leon which has long been scheduled.

Just recently, Janella Salvador started promoting her new movie Under Parallel Skies with Thai actor Win Metawin.
