Furthermore, the loan is payable for up to 36 monthly installments thus there is an option for light monthly amortizations. It is open not only for salaried and non-salaried individuals but as well as for allotees or those who receive regular remittance from a pension or a family member abroad.

The BPI Personal Loan requirements for application vary depending if you are locally-employed, self-employed, an allotee, or an overseas Filipino worker (OFW). Below, you can check the documents required by the bank in applying for the loan offer:

Locally-Employed Individuals

  • duly-accomplished BPI Personal Loan Application Form
  • valid ID issued by the Philippine government (with photo and signature)
  • latest three (3) months payslips or latest Income Tax Return (ITR) or Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Form 2316

Self-Employed Individuals

  • duly-accomplished BPI Personal Loan Application Form
  • valid ID issued by the Philippine government (with photo and signature)
  • 3 years of Audited Financial Statements (AFS) or latest ITR
  • Business Registration Certificate issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) or the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC)

Allottee

  • duly-accomplished BPI Personal Loan Application Form
  • Proof of remittance or latest bank statement where remittance is credited
  • Latest and unexpired POEA validated information sheet or latest Employment Contract or consularized COE (If remitter is permanent resident in the country)

OFW

  • Agency-based
    • Latest and unexpired signed POEA contract or employment contract with boarding date
  • For Direct Hire
    • Latest 3 months Proof of remittance
    • Latest and Unexpired POEA Validated Information Sheet or latest POEA Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), and latest Employment Contract*
    • Consularized COE (If remitter is permanent resident in the country)

Submit your BPI Personal Loan requirements to a branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands nearest to you. After the loan processing which will take between 5-7 working days, for approved loans, the loan proceeds will be credited to your BPI account within two (2) days.

Kindly note that the bank charges a one-time processing fee of Php 1,500 which will be deducted from the loan proceeds. The government also requires a Documentary Stamps Tax for loans above Php 250,000 or for business purposes. It is equivalent to Php 1.50 for every Php 200 of the loan amount.

Aside from the Personal Loan offer, the bank also has cash loans that are exclusive for seafarers and the employees of the companies that are accredited to the bank.
