Is there a conflict between Claudine Barretto and Angelu de Leon? The latter actress has this to say about the issue that arise early this year.

Last January, a statement by Claudine Barretto about fellow actress Angelu De Leon sparked an issue. It created a loud buzz online, most especially with the fact that she said it in front of a crowd.

She was asked about the possibility of working with De Leon and her answer that created a loud buzz online was: “No, no, no. Hindi, ikaw lang at ako at Judy Ann, walang Angelu.”

The anger of Barretto at De Leon seemed to have stemmed from the comments the latter expressed regarding her issues in the past. She said, “Kung wala kang magawa, tumahimik ka na lang, di ba? Ang career mo ang pag-usapan mo, huwag yung career ko. Yun lang ang ano ako. Kaya ayaw ko siyang makatrabaho.”

There were a couple of times before that Angelu made comments every time she would have an issue and she did not like it. Claudine did not like how she would always dip her fingers into the controversies she’s involved.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, De Leon was made to speak about this. She even quipped as her initial reaction, “Buti na lang wala na ko dun.”

If she were to give a showbiz answer, she would say that it would be fine. However, she was not there and that gave her the time and space to think through on how to react to this matter. She does not have any intention to invalidate her feelings, though.

Seemingly unaware of how the misunderstanding started, she still hopes that they could resolve it. She hopes that they could settle things between them.

“Kung merong gano’n pala, then eventually sana magkaroon ng pagkakataon na mag-ayos na lang nang face to face, and talagang sincere ‘yung mangyayari,” De Leon expressed in a video.
