Within a year of their debut, NewJeans cemented their status as a K-pop powerhouse after bagging a total of five awards including Song of the Year and Singer of the Year, at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2023, which took place at the Philippine Arena on Thursday, Dec. 14.
The quintet, consisting of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein, also won the Hot Trend Award, Best Choice Award and Fabulous Award at the awards ceremony.
On the other hand, SB19 made an explosive return to the music scene by bringing home several awards such as Hot Trend Award and Best Artist Award (Music) at the event. Fellow Filipino stars HORI7ON, Ben&Ben, Melai Cantiveros, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla were also lauded for their achievements in the entertainment industry.

The star-studded event hosted by IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, Kang Daniel and ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin—which was attended by over 50 celebrities from South Korea, Philippines, Japan and China—made history as the first Korean-based awards ceremony to be held in the Philippines.
