WALANG PASOK SEPTEMBER 1 – These cities declared class suspension due to Severe Tropical Storm Hannah.

The state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its August 31, 11 PM bulletin that Hanna continues to move west-northwestward over the Philippine Sea.

Hannah is forecasted to intensify and will turn into a .typhoon category by September 1.

The center of the eye was estimated at 950 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (22.0 °N, 130.9 °E ) and is moving west-northwestward at 20 km/h. Its maximum sustained wind is 110 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 135 km/h. No tropical cyclone wind signal has been raised.

Monsoon rains are expected to pour until Friday over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the northern portion of Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, Goring left PAR on Wednesday evening which is also around the same time Hannah entered PAR.

Goring and Tropical Storm Kirogi, seen both outside PAR are partially enhancing the Habagat.

With the bad weather, several cities have already declared class suspension.

These areas, so far, are:

  • Masantol, Pampanga – All levels, public and private
  • Angeles, Pampanga – All levels, public and private
  • Bacolod City – All levels, public and private
  • Aparri, Cagayan – All levels, public and private
  • Hagonoy, Bulacan – All levels, public and private
  • Atok, Benguet – Pre-school to senior high school, public and private
  • National Capital Region – All levels
  • Aparri, Cagayan – All levels, public schools
  • Angeles City – All levels, public and private
  • Rizal – All levels, public and private
  • Dagupan City – All levels, public and private
  • Abra Province – All levels, public and private
  • Dasmarinas, Cavite – All levels, public and private
  • Alfonso, Cavite – All levels, public and private
  • Bataan – All levels, public and private
  • Imus, Cavite – All levels, public and private
  • Trece Martires, Cavite – All levels, public and private
  • Municipality of Naic – All levels, public and private
