Maris Racal talked about Irene Tiu

Kapamilya singer-actress Maris Racal shared her thoughts on her popular character Irene Tiu in the series Can’t Buy Me Love.

Maris became a trending topic on social media several times because of her character in the series featuring the DonBelle loveteam of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. Her character has become the subject of different memes.

The onscreen partnership of Maris with Anthony Jennings also received a positive response from the viewers.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Maris Racal shared that she did not hesitate when this role was offered to her.

“Bilang 10 years na ako sa industry, noong inoffer sa’kin si Irene Tiu, I was so happy. Sabi ko sa [sarili] ko, ibibigay ko lahat ng kaartehan ko sa character na ‘to,” she said. Maris is also thankful for the praise that her Snorene tandem with Anthony received. His character in the series was Snoop.

The actress said that she was still surprised by the positive response to their tandem even though their love story has been planned since the beginning of the series. With this, she realized something very important.

“Natuwa ako kasi sa result ng SnoRene. Doon ko na-realize na sa bawat eksena na binibigay sa inyo, ibigay mo lahat. Ibigay mo ang best mo. Kasi you’ll never know what will happen,” she said.

Meanwhile, Anthony shared that he learned to appreciate things from his character. He said that once people have a lot to do, they tend to forget simple things in life. The actor also said that he loves his character. “And ‘yung nabuo naming samahan, kakaiba. Feeling ko kahit tapos na ‘yung ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ babalik at babalik si Snoop sa’kin,” Anthony added.

Just recently, one of the cast members of the series, Kaila Estrada, became a trending topic on social media because of how she pulled off a dramatic scene. Her character Bettina also entered the top trending topics on X, formerly known as Twitter.
