Ian Veneracion asserted being faithful in a relationship

Seasoned actor Ian Veneracion said that there is nothing cool about being a womanizer but stressed that he is saying this not because he thinks highly of himself.

Ian is one of the most handsome faces in the Philippine entertainment industry. With his looks, charm, and talent, it is not difficult for him to catch the attention of many people, especially his female fans.

However, throughout his years in showbiz, Ian was not involved in controversies involving women. He has been married to his non-showbiz wife Pam Gallardo for 25 years now. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Ian Veneracion said that he has been faithful to his wife.

Ian and Pam are blessed with three children – Tristan Draco, Deirdre, and Duccio. When asked about the comments of female netizens that they hope to find someone like Ian, the actor said that he knows he is not perfect.

“But I’ve been married for twenty-five years and parang mas gusto kong magbigay ng encouraging words kaysa sa some people do tsismis,” he said, adding that he hopes to be an inspiration to other people when it comes to this aspect.

He cited that in conversations with his sons, he would tell them that it is easy to be a womanizer but this does not give them the excuse to do so. “‘Pero pag nahanap mo yung para sa iyo, it takes a real man [to be faithful in a relationship]. There’s nothing cool about being babaero,’” Ian said.

The actor also stressed that he is not saying this for “pagmamalinis” because he acknowledges the fact that he also has “biological tendencies na temptations.” He said that he is just encouraging people to be on the right track because he is trying to be at one.

“So yun, instead na puro tsismis, puro negative stuff, I’d rather promote love and kindness than tsismis,” the actor said. When asked about temptations, Ian Veneracion said that it is about managing and practicing, and although it is not that easy, one should keep on trying.
