Over 2,700 passengers still stranded in ports due to Karding — NDRRMC

 

 

MANILA, Philippines — Over 2,700 passengers remain stranded in different ports in Luzon due to Typhoon Karding, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Monday.

“A total of 2,737 passengers, 260 rolling cargoes, 24 vessels, and 13 motorbancas are currently stranded in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) and Region 5,” the NDRRMC said in its incident report.

Most of the stranded passengers are in the Bicol region (1,944), Mimaropa (472) and Calabarzon (321).
