Celeste Cortesi Advices Fans To Stop Replying To Her International Bashers

CELESTE CORTESI – Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi advised her fans to stop replying to her international bashers.

Celeste Cortesi is a Filipino-Italian model and beauty queen. She was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 in April.

She’s not new to pageant stages. Before she won MUPH 2022, she represented the Philippines at Miss Earth 2018. She entered the Top 8 in the pageant.

In a previous article, Celeste Cortesi revealed that it was beauty queen-turned-actress Rabiya Mateo who convinced her to join MUPH. She said that she initially thought of joining the said pageant next year but Rabiya encouraged her to join this year instead.

Recently, the 24-year-old beauty queen received false stories from Thai pageant fans. A Thai beauty pageant fan FB page uploaded a malicious post about her.

A photo of the Fil-Italian model and host Willie Revillame was posted by the said FB page with a caption that maligned Cortesi. Aside from this, the same fan account also posted some before and after photos of Celeste suggesting that she had undergone surgery to achieve her look.

The said FB account labeled the Filipina beauty queen as “Miss Surgery Philippines 2022.” Lots of her fans found it insulting.

“I invite my fans to not answer and fight back please. If you want to protect me, then simply use the hashtag #kindnesscampaign. Let’s not engage with any form of hate,” Cortesi said.

In her IG stories, Cortesi spoke up and thanked all of her fans for defending her but she also asked them not to fight fire with fire. According to the Pinay beauty queen, they should just use the hashtag #kindnesscampaign to spread awareness of her cause.

“People keep tagging me in edited photos of me, insults and threats. I have seen quite a lot just today and now before going to sleep. After the talk we had last week, I was hoping that this unnecessary cyberbullying would somehow stop or lessen,” she wrote.
