PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (October 27)

The

PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (October 27, 2021), the

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration

released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

said that the Northeast Monsoon would be affecting Northern and Central Luzon. The Amihan would bring cloudy weather conditions are expected over Aurora and Quezon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring similar weather conditions over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience have a fair weather condition with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

“Ngayong araw po dahil sa amihan makakaranas ng bahagyang maulap at minsang maulap na kalangitan ang Northern and central Luzon. Mayroong mga pag-ambon sa Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Region, maging ang silangang bahagi ng Central Luzon,”

senior weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

The weather agency is monitoring two weather disturbances; Severe Tropical Storm Malou at 1,800 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon and a tropical depression at 445 kilometers west northwest of Kalayaan Islands in Palawan.

Severe Tropical Storm Malou has maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 125 kph. The tropical depression has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. The surrounding sea conditions over the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate.
