, Vice President Leni Robredo declared her decision in seeking the highest political position in the country. We are one day away from the filing of candidacy to end and on the same day of her pronouncement, she filed her certificate of candidacy.

. In her speech, she stressed that running for president has got nothing to do to feed her personal interest but to address what is best for the country. She had several talks made with some personalities and she has come up with one thing after those processes: it’s not about the position anymore because, for her, it’s all about the people and giving the people a better life through better governance and leadership.

She aired in her speech,

“Ipaglalaban ko kayo hanggang dulo. Itataya ko ang lahat; ibubuhos ko ang lahat na kayang ibuhos. Sama-sama tayong tumaya sa laban na ito.”

Following her declaration, a lot of celebrities have rallied behind her and expressed their support for her plans. They see her decision as a symbol of hope as the welcoming of new administration approaches which is just less than seven months from now.
