Mandaue City LGU Employee Elicit Reactions After He Punch Traffic Enforcer
Video footage of a rider alleged employee of Mandaue City local government unit (LGU) punch a traffic enforcer who apprehended him.
GMA’s Regional TV News shared a closed-circuit television (CCTV) where a motorcycle rider was caught striking a traffic cop, who apprehended him and issued him a penalty ticket for breaking traffic laws. According to the report, the rider was the driver of a high-ranking Mandaue City-LGU official in Cebu.
According to the complaint, a law enforcement officer named Nathaniel Mendoza caught rider Mark Lester Santos after he took a right turn despite the fact that the traffic light in Barangay Basak was red. Santos was issued a violation ticket by Mendoza as a result of the violation, based on the report.
Santos may be seen riding a motorcycle on CCTV before abruptly getting off and kicking Mendoza. As a result, Mendoza fought back, and they were stopped by another traffic cop.
Based on the investigation, Santos looked to be the motivator for City Administrator Jamaal James Calipayan. Calipayan, on the other hand, admitted that he was embarrassed by his staff’s actions after the incident reaches his office.
Santos should be sacked, according to him, because he did something improper that should not be condoned. According to the report, Santos’ side was not taken seriously and was not considered valid because he did not have an office when the TV crew arrived.
