MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather with possible isolated rain showers will prevail in Luzon on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The state weather bureau said the southwest monsoon continues to persist in the extreme Northern Luzon while the ridge of high pressure area is affecting the rest of the Luzon region.
“Ang ridge ng high pressure area, kabaliktaran yan ng low pressure area so dala niya ay magandang panahon,” weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said.
“So ngayong araw, magiging maganda ang taya ng panahon pero may mga inaasahan pa rin tayong mga isolated na pag-ulan dahil yan sa isolated thunderstorms,” she added.
Isolated rain showers are likewise expected especially in the afternoon in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, Pagasa added.
Due to the fair weather, Pagasa said no gale warning is raised in the country, meaning no restrictions are imposed for sea travel.
