1 dead, 3 hurt in truck-SUV collision in Batangas

LUCENA CITY –– A motorist died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle collision Thursday in San Juan town in Batangas province.
The San Juan police reported that a trailer truck was traversing the road around 10:45 p.m. when it hit a Mitsubishi Adventure with six people on board.
The sport utility vehicle’s driver, Jun Garcia, and his five passengers suffered injuries. Rescuers rushed them to the San Juan District Hospital, but one of the passengers, Marvin Momo, 50, was declared dead on arrival, the report said.
Garcia and two other passengers, Artemio Beluan Jr. and Marilyn Opeña, were still confined in the same hospital.
