25.7 million fully vaccinated vs COVID-19 in PH

MANILA, Philippines — More than 25.7 million individuals in the country have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Malacañang reported Monday.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that as of October 24, a total of 25,711,980 individuals have received the second dose of the vaccine.

A total of while 55,715,693 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has so far been administered nationwide, including 30,003,713 as first dose.
In Metro Manila, Roque said 17,621,460 doses have been administered (9,289,795 as first dose; 8,331,665 as second dose).

This means around 85.22 percent of Metro Manila residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, said Roque.

The Department of Health recorded
5,279 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday
, October 24, bringing the total number of infections to 2,756,923.
Meanwhile, the DOH recorded 7,312 recoveries which brings total recoveries to 2,654,173. The higher number of recoveries slightly reduced current active infections to 60,957.
The death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 41,793 after the DOH reported 208 more deaths on Sunday.
