Aurora province logs 27 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––At least 27 more residents of Aurora province have contracted COVID-19, and two have died from the viral disease, data from the provincial emergency operations center showed on Sunday, Oct. 24.

The new cases include 11 residents of Dingalan, five from Casiguran, four each from Dilasag and Dinalungan, and one each from Baler, San Luis, and Maria Aurora. The fatalities were from Dingalan and Maria Aurora towns.

Aurora also recorded 22 new recoveries on the same day, bringing its active cases to 218.

Maria Aurora has the most active cases with 71, Baler followed with 37, and Casiguran with 33.

The province has registered 3,529 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 3,105 have recovered, and 206 have died.
