Dina Bonnevie on forgiving Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes after what they did.

The affair of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes resulted in the separation of the actor from Dina Bonnevie and this is how she found forgiveness.

Forgiveness, just like love, must be acquired first before given. You can’t give what you don’t have and as for the case of Dina Bonnevie, time healed all wounds and one day, she just realized that she has already forgiven Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes, but above this, she forgiven herself.

She was just 23 when she and Sotto separated and for this to happen because of his affair with her best friend just doubled the pain that clouded her mind. It took a lot of years before she realized the forgiveness she has for herself and for them but when she realized this, she did not hesitate to let them know.

In the interview with Boy Abunda, what she did when this time came was send Coney flowers and a letter that indicated what she felt.

“It took a lot of time until the point na Danica was telling na, ‘Alam mo, Mommy, you’re so bitter. I wish you’d really let go because you’re so bitter,’” she shared in the video.

She saw Coney and she “changed in leaps and bounds”. She was bringing people closer to God and that was the time when she realized she could not hate this type of person. She let all the bitterness go, then sent her a bunch of flowers with a letter that said, “I forgive you”.

Bonnevie also did the same to Sotto when she came upon this realization saying, “I also sent him flowers and I said, ‘I forgive you but most of all, I forgive me.’”

Meanwhile, in a previous article, Dina shared her biggest pain as a mother and that was after she and Sotto separated. Her biggest pain was to see her kids grow up with their father living separately from them following the split. Danice once said that they are not complete without their father but she insisted they are despite of what is lacking. Deep inside, it pains her. Every time they would talk about it, her heart breaks.

But all is well now between everyone.
