Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas Says Wife’s Family Is Richer than Him

Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas and his lawyer wife, Angelica Chua-Mandanas, confirmed that they signed a pre-nuptial agreement.

Countless people were able to witness the wedding of Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas and his new wife, Attorney Angelica Chua-Mandanas, in-person and online. The wedding was livestreamed and the reception was held in front of the provincial capitol.

Governor Dodo, 80 years old, married for the second time around following his first wife’s death in May 2022. He and his second wife has a huge age gap of 48 years old but it was not able to stop their love from each other.

At the wedding, the couple who revealed that they first date this February 2024 spoke their heartfelt vows to each other. The Governor stressed that they will be in the pursuit to raise the children that they will be blessed with into good Christians. For her part, the bride asked her groom to stay strong so she can grow old with him.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, in an interview, Attorney Angelica Chua-Mandanas admitted that she thought about their age gap but she did not allow it or what other people may say over him being her ideal person.

The lawyer hoped that their wedding will not be bashed by other people. While some people who don’t know the couple had negative things to say, there are also countless individuals who are happy for them.

Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas and his wife confirmed that they signed a pre-nuptial agreement. Based on the report, the pre-nup agreement states that their only conjugal properties will be the assets that they will acquire after their wedding.

According to the Governor, they want to make sure how the material things will be distributed. He emphasized that his wife is a partner in a firm.

“As a matter of fact, their family is richer than our family,” the politician said.

On the side of his job, Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas assured that his marriage or being a father will not hinder him from fulfilling his job and desire to serve the people. He clings to the power of prayer in making his relationship work.

“You cannot sustain it if you don’t pray,” the 80-year-old Governor said.
