BOOBAY SILENT SEIZURE – The comedian suddenly fell on the stage’s floor during a show in a town’s fiesta in Aparri, Cagayan.
Comedian Boobay or Norman Balbuena in real-life recently alarmed a lot of people once again with a health scare after a silent seizure during a live performance in Aparri, Cagayan. He was there for a variety show in line with the celebration of the 344th Aparri Town Fiesta.
Boobay had Pepita Curtis as his guest in the variety show that was held in Aparri Public Park. They were doing the show with a lot of people watching when he suddenly fell on the ground of the stage beside the speaker.
Pepita and two individuals were quick to help Boobay. The said instance is not the first time that the comedian had silent seizure in front of many people and the camera.
Way back in April 21, 2024, during his guesting in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Boobay also had a silent seizure that left a lot of people including the show’s host, Tito Boy, worried. He suddenly became unresponsive and just stopped with a blank stare that worried everyone in the set.
Meanwhile, after a while, the comedian was back on his senses. According to him, it is an effect of the stroke that he had in 2016 and the doctor told him that when it happens, he will just go back to his senses after a while so they must just let him be.
According to Boobay, there were also instance when he had silent seizures during tapings. A lot of celebrities expressed their worries over his health condition and the GMA-7 even advised Boobay to take a break.
Despite having a silent seizure, Boobay was able to finish the show for the 344th Aparri Town’s Fiesta. Based on an article on Pep as the Cabinet Files were able to reach out to the comedian, it was the strong lights which he believed triggered his silent seizure.
According to Boobay, he’s okay now and it was just the light at the event. He stressed that he and Pepita still finished the show. He also gave an update then that they are already in Tuguegarao airport on their way back to Manila.
