Ian Veneracion received negative reactions after this video circulated

Seasoned actor Ian Veneracion flipped an audience member during a pageant and netizens reacted that this is the reason why his talent fee is so high.

Ian’s talent fee issue circulated online last January. This was after director Ronaldo Carballo shared a post about the actor. It was alleged that Ian asked for a P500,000 talent fee for a 2-hour parade and an additional P100,000 per hour if the event will be extended.

The online community criticized this but the actor’s camp stressed in a statement that a celebrity’s rate depended on experience and status in showbiz. Ian’s manager also debunked the alleged P100K additional fee.

Just recently, netizens recalled Ian Veneracion’s talent fee because of a video that went viral. @AltKapamilyaCH on X shared a video showing that the actor was serenading candidates in a pageant.

He eventually went down the stage to mingle with the audience. Then, he grabbed a female viewer and brought her to the stage. Ian asked the woman to raise both her hands and then, he grabbed her waist and flipped her. While the woman was hugging him, he continued singing.

As of this writing, this video already has 2 million views. Netizens who commented on this post expressed different reactions. Some said that Ian did an inappropriate thing because it was a pageant and not a variety show while some recalled that there was not the first time that the actor did an unusual thing.

A netizen shared a video showing that during an interview, while Richard Yap was speaking, Ian Veneracion lifted Jodi Sta Maria. Some netizens also shared what they witnessed at events in which Ian performed.

This was shared on a popular showbiz site and netizens commented that this is why Ian Veneracion demanded a high talent fee.
