Cristy Fermin spoke about the case filed by Bea Alonzo

Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin contradicted Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo’s statement about her showbiz-oriented YouTube channel.

Aside from Cristy Ferminute show, Cristy also has Showbiz Now Na on YouTube with her co-hosts Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez. They usually talked about the latest issues and controversies in the entertainment industry and certain celebrities and famous personalities.

Cristy and her co-hosts also share their thoughts on certain issues or impart their opinions about something or someone. With the controversial “items” they share on their show, inevitably they are attacked with criticisms.

Prior to the cyber libel case that Bea Alonzo filed against Cristy Fermin and talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, the veteran showbiz insider also faced complaints from Esther Lahbati, the mother of actress Sarah Lahbati.

In a recent statement that Cristy had on the case filed by Bea, she stressed that their legal battle is a long process. She said that there would still be exchanges of sworn statements before the prosecution would decide whose side upholds the truth.

Cristy said that libel, cyber libel, or cyberbullying accusations are part of their job as showbiz reporters or commentators. The veteran showbiz insider also stressed that no one can force anyone on what side to believe and who should be condemned because this decision will be in the hands of the court.

However, Cristy Fermin pointed out that there was one thing that did not sit well with her and her co-accused Ogie Diaz. “Hindi lang po naming matatanggap ni Ogie Diaz ‘yung kanyang kampo sa pagsasabi na ang aming daw pong vlogs ay ginagawa para lamang magkaroon ng mataas na views at pagkakitaan si Bea Alonzo,” she said.

Cristy said that her and Ogie’s vlogs are not designed just for Bea. She stressed that they are reporting stories whether they are positive or negative about certain personalities or public figures.

She also reminded Bea that she is a public figure but they are not hindering her right to file the case against them. However, she will not allow this to cover their mouth from saying their opinion.

Sabi nga kayo ang nagdemanda, ikaw, Bea, ang nagsampa ng kasong libelo laban sa akin, kay Ogie Diaz at sa aming mga kasama ano ang ating mga sinasabi, we will see you in court,” Cristy Fermin said.
