Is it true that Angel Locsin will return to GMA?

Director-writer Ronaldo Carballo said in his Facebook post that rumor has it that actress Angel Locsin will return to GMA.

Angel started her social media and showbiz hiatus in 2022. Since then, fans have been anticipating her return. The actress chose to keep details of her whereabouts and her activities for two years. Her husband, businessman Neil Arce, is also not posting any photos of her on social media.

The recent update about Angel that was brought to the public was through her friend actress Dimples Romana. It was said that Angel is enjoying her private life and that she is happy with Neil, debunking the rumors that they broke up.

In a recent Facebook post that Ronaldo Carballo shared, he said, “Magbabalik na raw si ANGEL LOCSIN sa GMA7.”

The director-writer stressed that if this is true, Angel will have a hard time establishing her status in showbiz again because of Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera who is well taken care of the GMA network.

Carballo also said that even former Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo‘s star is not as bright as it was expected to be when she transferred to the Kapuso network.

“Kung si BEA ALONZO nga, di makaporma. Yumaman lang sya lalo dahil sa laki ng kontrata, pero WALA pang ginawang magandang proyekto si Bea kahit isa, mula nang lumipat sya sa GMA 7, almost 3 years na ang lumipas,” Carballo said.

He also said that before Angel would go against Bea, she must face Vivamax actress Angeli Khang first, who is now being built up by GMA as Ruru Madrid’s sultry onscreen partner in Black Rider.

“Baka kay Angeli Khang lang, mahirapan na si Angel Locsin maka-penetrate sa GMA7 like during her time,” Carballo said.

As of this writing, no one from Angel’s camp has released a statement about her rumored return to GMA.
