Willie Revillame officially signed a contract with TV5

Veteran host Willie Revillame is thankful to TV5 for giving a second chance for him as he returns to television after almost a year since he terminated his contract with ALLTV.

His show Wowowin spent a long time in GMA until he decided to sign a contract with AMBS for his show to be aired on ALLTV but that collaboration did not last long. In March, Kuya Wil had a meeting with the executives of the Kapatid network.

Reportedly, that was a confirmation that he would be signing with TV5 for his show. Last Friday, the contract signing officially happened.

Willie Revillame expressed how grateful he is for this opportunity provided by TV5, based on the article in The Philippines Star. “Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa inyo, again, yung second chance,” he said as he thanked the executives of the Kapatid network.

He also said that he knows there were doubts but the network understood him and what he went through these past years. Willie mentioned that he has been on different networks since his Wowowee show aired on TV5 years ago.

Willie also said that he is just like an OFW (overseas Filipino worker) who goes to different countries where opportunities or better jobs are.

“I just said, it’s not just ‘Wowowin’ or my new show that I’ll take care of. Even TV5. Whatever help I can give to TV5, whatever creativity, whatever ideas I can contribute, even without pay, I’m willing to do that on TV5,” he said.

Willie Revillame also expressed appreciation to the GMA network. He shared that when he transferred to another network, he still had a contract with the Kapuso network and they are just waiting for his decision. However, his decision was not to continue his stint with GMA.

He was thankful to the Kapuso network for allowing him to still use the social media platforms of Wowowin even though he already ended his contract with them.
