David Licauco On How Barbie Forteza Helped Him For Canada Show
David Licauco and Barbie Forteza’s loveteam continue to soar
Kapuso actor David Licauco shared how his loveteam partner actress Barbie Forteza helped him for their Sparkle Goes To Canada show.
David and Barbie’s onscreen partnership came unexpectedly. They were first seen together in the Kapuso series Maria Clara at Ibarra. Their tandem was first known as FiLay for their character Fidel and Klay.
After the series, fans dubbed them BarDa, and they continued to do projects together. such as the Maging Sino Ka Man series. One of the recent stints that they did was a show in Canada with other Sparkle artists.
They did two shows, in Calgary and Toronto, in early April. They were joined by Rayver Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, Ruru Madrid, and Bianca Umali.
In a recent interview, David Licauco shared that Barbie Forteza helped him a lot when it comes to this project, based on the article in Inquirer.
“She showed her support even during the course of our training for the show. She helped me with the dance steps and lyrics to our songs. I’m not good at remembering lyrics. Often, when I listen to music, I unconsciously ignore the words and just focus on the melody. Some people are like that, too, right? I’m super appreciative of her,” he revealed.
For his part, David said that he is helping Barbie by giving her advice when it comes to establishing a business. The actor has already established his businesses.
He encouraged the actress to invest in something or have a business that is based on his interest. “She may already be stable at the moment, but it’s ideal that she has her own business to add to what she’s earning now,” he added.
David Licauco also admitted that he felt pressured to be part of this tour with other GMA artists. He was thinking that he would be sharing the same stage with Rayver and Ruru who are already used to performing. He said that he used to watch these two male stars when he was younger.
On the other hand, David is optimistic that his confidence on stage will improve as he already took the first step.
