Janella Salvador played two characters in her new movie

Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador shared her experience in playing two characters in her new movie Under Parallel Skies with Thai actor Win Metawin.

Janella’s acting career is soaring again after taking a break for a while to focus on being a mom to her son Jude. For her movie comeback, she was given a chance to do a project with a foreign leading man.

Under Parallel Skies is about the story of a Thai bachelor named Parin (Win) who went to Hong Kong to find his missing mom. There he met the Pinay receptionist Iris (Janella). Despite their cultural differences, Iris helps Parin in navigating love, heartbreak, and healing in that foreign land.

It was revealed by Production company 28 Squared Studios that Janella Salvador played two characters in the movie. Based on the article in PUSH, the actress was asked about this in a recent interview.

Janella said that this is not new to her because she has done dual roles before. However, this one is more challenging as there was a thin line between their distinction.

“I think playing two characters isn’t a foreign idea to me anymore since nagawa ko na naman siya before. Pero siguro in this film medyo challenging siya. Hindi ko na lang sasabihin kung bakit para hindi ma-spoil pero challenging siya because kailangan medyo alike pero at the same time very, very different sila so na-enjoy ko siya,” the actress shared.

The actress did not elaborate more in order not to spoil how the story in the movie unfolded.

Under Parallel Skies was released in the Philippines on April 17. This will be released in Singapore on May 1 and Thailand on May 9.

Meanwhile, Janella Salvador expressed dismay over those who easily judge local movies. The actress shared a post from their movie producer Richard Juan about a message from someone who prefers not to watch local films with prejudice.
