Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin reacts to being called the “next KathNiel”

Kapamilya stars Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, known as the FranSeth loveteam, said that they don’t want to be “KathNiel.”

KathNiel, the loveteam of former couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, is one of the most successful onscreen partnerships of this generation. Their success in the entertainment industry as a tandem was immense and their individual careers also soared high.

In a recent interview for their first movie together as FranSeth, Francine and Seth were asked to react to people’s perception that they will take over the place previously occupied by KathNiel. Entertainment reporter Allan Diones shared a video of the interview.

Seth Fedelin said that they can never replace KathNiel. He also stressed that they wanted to be known as FranSeth but they also aspire to achieve the success that KathNiel was able to achieve.

“Iniidolo po namin sila, sa paraan ng kung ano ang nakamit nila,” Seth said, adding that it is their dream to go where the Kathniel’s career went. However, he stressed that they want to achieve that in their own way.

Francine Diaz echoed what her loveteam partner said and stressed that KathNiel had a different path in how they became successful.

“Kami po ni Seth, gusto po naming makilala as ourselves, as Franseth,” the young actress said. She also said that they are praying and hoping that they will be able to have the same success that KathNiel had.

They were also asked if they feel “proud and pressured” to be tagged as the “next KathNiel.” Francine said that being tagged as this is somehow implying that they will also go through what Kathniel went through.

“Gusto naming makilala ng tao as FranSeth, sa sarili naming paraan,” she said. The young actress also said that they feel pressured because people saw KathNiel in them but she stressed that they wanted to be seen as them, as FranSeth.

For Seth Fedelin, it is “nakakakaba” because people might not get what they are expecting. On the other hand, he stressed that FranSeth will be KathNiel. “Ayaw po namin maging KathNiel, gusto po naming maging FranSeth,” he said.
