Cops to secure Zambales freshwater lake as thieves prey on tourists

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Following reports of thieves victimizing tourists at the Mapanuepe Lake in nearby San Marcelino town, its local government vowed to deploy policemen to help secure the area. According to Maj. Marvin Domacena, chief of the municipal police station, some tourists recently lost a camera and a wrist watch to thieves while visiting the popular freshwater lake in Barangay Buhawen last week.
