Over P500,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in Masbate town

SORSOGON CITY — Authorities seized more than P500,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) from a high value target in a buy-bust operation in Mobo town in Masbate province.
Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police chief, said in a report that the suspect, who was identified as James Bon Tariao, was nabbed at around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at Barangay Marintoc of Mobo.

Dizon said 84.95 grams of suspected shabu placed in seven plastic sachets, worth around P588,000, were confiscated from the operation.

The 25-year-old suspect, who used to work as a mechanic, is now detained at Mobo municipal police station.
He will be facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
