Singer-host Darren Espanto has revelations about his puppy love.

DARREN ESPANTO – The Kapamilya star has this confession about his past “puppy love” with Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara.

Previously, Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara appeared and performed in It’s Showtime. Since the Kapamilya noontime show is now airing in GMA’s main channel, the Kapuso stars can now freely cross and appear to other channels as aside from GMA 7, Showtime is also aired in other channels and online platforms.

During the Kapuso star’s guesting in the Kapamilya noontime show, she was teased with singer-host Darren Espanto, one of the main hosts of the program. They were teased and the words from Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda seems like there was a meaning behind it.

It appears there was really something.

In an interview with Boy Abunda in FTWBA, Espanto admitted his past with the Kapuso actress. According to him, they had some sort of a relationship that lasted for like a year. This happened when they were younger, thus, calling this part of his life with her as a puppy love.

“Yun nga po na tinutukso kami na, ‘Kasi nga…’ Kasi nga, naging kami dati. Ayun po kaya kami binibiro ni Ate Vice,” he said.

Recalling what happened in the past, the split was accordingly not good. It was a bad breakup and they went through a certain process until they found forgiveness and chose friendship to share with each other.

It may be a bad split but Espanto stressed that there was no third party. It just that at that time, they were both immature and every misunderstanding would stem from petty reasons.

He said, “And then, when we both matured, parang six years later, napag-usapan na namin. Eventually, we became okay with each other again at naging friends na ulit kami.”

In a previous article, Mavy Legaspi reacted to the Kyline-Darren “ship” and according to him, he has no problems with it. They are close friends and they are very good behind close doors.
