Kaye Abad Reacts To Being Dubbed “Ugly Version” Of Iza Calzado

KAYE ABAD – Check out actress Kaye Abad’s reaction after being dubbed as the “ugly version” of Iza Calzado by Mo Twister.

To recap, renowned actress Kaye Abad relocated to Cebu, where her husband Paul Jake Castillo resides, following their marriage. They are currently raising their two sons, Joaquin and Iñigo.

After their wedding, Kaye took a step back from the spotlight and focused on her life in Cebu. She mentioned that she tied the knot with someone whose family doesn’t fancy extravagant living.

Being in the public eye, certain aspects of her life, especially before marriage, are well-known. It’s no secret that she was previously involved with actor John Lloyd Cruz.

Kaye revealed that their breakup was challenging, especially as they had to work together on a television series, “Tabing-Ilog,” post-split. She recalled that during the show’s production, they were no longer a couple.

Kaye Abad was the guest on the 315th episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” which aired on April 12, 2024. Among the topics discussed in that episode was how she dealt with her insecurities.

When asked if she still struggles with insecurities after many years in the public eye, Kaye didn’t hesitate to answer, “Oo, palagi. Ewan ko Tito Boy, insecure ako.”

Surprised by her response, Abunda followed up with a question about what causes Kaye to feel lacking in confidence in her beauty. Kaye laughed and confessed, “Sa height ko, na sabi ko nga magpapa-chiropractor ako baka tumaas-taas pa ako kahit 1 inch lang.”

“Magpapa-stretch lang ako ng konti. Sa height ko, insecure ako sa height ko.” She added, “Sa itsura ko, oo. Tuwing mag-g-guest ako sa ‘yo, yun talaga yung topic na hindi talaga.”

“Titignan ko yung mukha ko sa salamin palagi na hindi ako pangit, hindi ako napapangitan sa sarili ko.

Kaye Abad said she’s not calling herself ugly, but she doesn’t find herself beautiful. To better understand Kaye, Boy asked, “If you were to look like someone, who comes to mind first?”

Again without hesitation, she confidently responded, “Iza Calzado.”

Kaye revealed that she was previously compared to Iza Calzado by DJ Mo Twister.

“Sinabi nga ni Mo Twister yun e, na ako raw ang ugly version ni Iza Calzado,” she said, “At sinabi ko kay Iza Calzado yun, at tatanggapin ko yun. At least ugly version.”
