PAGASA Says Easterlies to Bring Isolated Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring isolated rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (April 13, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that easterlies will continue to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The entire Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.

Last Wednesday (April 10, 2024), the temperature at the NAIA station in Pasay City was 40 degrees Celsius, while at the Science Garden in Quezon City, it was 39 degrees Celsius. This is the heat index in Metro Manila.

When relative humidity has been taken into consideration, the heat index provides a precise measure of the actual temperature at a specific location.

The weather agency has advised the public to take precautionary measures as some people may experience heat cramps and heat exhaustion due to the scorching temperature. Continuing activity may result in heat stroke.

PAGASA advised the public to minimize outdoor activities, drink a lot of water, wear heat protective gear, avoid soda, coffee, and liquor, and reschedule heavy-duty activities at the start or end of the day.
