Pia Wurtzbach asserted that she is more than just a beauty queen

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reacted to the “beauty queen ka lang” comment from her bashers.

Pia is the third Pinay Miss Universe and she made a lot of Filipinos proud after winning the crown from the prestigious beauty pageant. However, years passed and some people could not accept that she could also venture into different fields.

In the past. Pia has already ventured into acting and hosting. Just recently, she stepped into the world of fashion and started becoming a fashion influencer.

Some people did not accept her transition and negative reactions were thrown at her. Based on the article in Inquirer, Pia Wurtzbach addressed those comments saying that she should not cross into the fashion world and just remain as a “beauty queen.

“Ito naman na nagta-transition ako into a different field, new opportunities, may bago na naman akong naririnig, ‘Hindi ka bagay diyan, beauty queen ka lang, stay in your lane,’” she said.

Pia said that the more people try to her bring down, the more she becomes determined to prove them wrong. “Don’t tell me I can’t do something because that is the sure way for me to try to make it happen,” she stressed.

For her, the naysayers, bashers, and detractors urge her to double her efforts to succeed. The negative comments serve as fuel for her to continue and strive.

Just recently, Pia Wurtzbach shared a post on her Instagram account that caught the attention of many netizens. “While others deny us a seat at the table, we’re creating our own space, paving the way for others to follow. Irrelevant after the crown? I fought for my place to be so much more,” she wrote.

Netizens speculated that it appeared to be her answer to the Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista.
