Chester explained that he had the tarpaulin made to apologize to his girlfriend, who got upset with him for being late to their Metro Manila Film Festival movie date. He overslept and woke up at 10:00 am, although their call time was 8:00 a.m.

“Na-late po ako ng gising, 8:00 a.m. po ang call time namin, 10:00 a.m. po ako nagising kaya nagtatampo po siya,” he said.

The romantic boyfriend teased her that he would have a tarpaulin made for her, thinking she believed it was just a joke. But for their second monthsary, he made it come true.

“Biniro ko po siya na ipapa-tarpaulin ko siya, akala niya biro-biro lang pero tinotoo ko ngayong second monthsary,” he added.
