PAG-IBIG MULTI-PURPOSE LOAN REQUIREMENTS – Here are the documents required by the Pag-IBIG Fund in applying for the loan offer.

In the Philippines, one of the state cash loan offers is the Multi-Purpose Loan provided by the Pag-IBIG Fund for the qualified members. A qualified member may apply for it for the car repair, to make some minor home improvements, to make a purchase, to expand the business, etc.

The Pag-IBIG Fund has been in the service of the Filipino people for decades already. It is most popular for its Housing Loan offer but it also has loans for the qualified members when a calamity strikes their place, the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan, as well as the multi-purpose cash loan offer.

The Fund has set minimal eligibility requirements and documentary requirements for application to the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan offer. You can check the requirements below.

To qualify for the loan offer, here are the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan requirements that the member must meet:

  • have posted at least 24 monthly savings under the Pag-IBIG Regular Savings Program
  • active membership to Pag-IBIG Fund with at least one (1) monthly membership savings within the last six (6) months prior to the date of the loan application
  • have proof of income

With regards to the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan documentary requirements, it depends if the borrower is employed, self-employed, or an overseas Filipino worker (OFW). Here are the documents required of locally-employed member-borrowers:

  • duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan Application Form
  • photocopy of one (1) valid ID
  • Certificate of Net Pay
    • This portion of your MPL Application Form which is found at the back of the form must be accomplished by your employer; or
  • photocopy of one (1) month latest payslip duly authenticated by an authorized signatory of the company

Here are the documentary requirements for the self-employed member-borrowers of the Pag-IBIG Fund:

  • duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan Application Form
  • photocopy of one (1) valid ID
  • proof of income (any of the following):
    • photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR) and Official Receipt of tax payment from bank supported with DTI Registrant and Mayor’s Permit or Business Permit
    • original copy of bank statements or passbook for the last 12 months
    • original copy of Commission Vouchers indicating the name and contact details of the issuer
    • original copy of Certified True Copy of Transport Franchise
    • original copy of the Notarized Affidavit of Income
    • original copy of the Certificate of Engagement issued by the business owner

The Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan offer is also open for overseas Filipino workers. Here are the documents that OFW applicants must submit to apply for the loan offer:

  • duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan Application Form
  • photocopy of one (1) valid ID
  • proof of income (any of the following):
    • Employment Contract
      • photocopy of the Employment Contract between the employee and employer or original copy of the POEA Standard Contract
    • Certificate of Employment and Compensation (CEC)
      • CEC written on the Employer; or
      • CEC signed by employer supported by a photocopy of the ID and passport of the employer
    • Original copy of Income Tax Return filed with Host Government or Country

With regards to the valid ID, here is a list of valid IDs accepted by the Fund for the Multi-Purpose Loan application:

  • passport
  • Driver’s License
  • National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
  • Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
  • Police Clearance
  • Voter’s ID
  • Postal ID
  • Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) e-Card
  • Senior Citizen Card
  • Barangay Certification or Barangay IDs
  • Social Security System (SSS) Card
  • Overseas Filipino Worker ID
  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
  • Alien Certification of Registration/Immigrant Certificate of Registration
  • Certification from the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP)
  • Seaman’s Book or Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB)
  • Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Certification
  • Government Office and GOCC ID
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
  • Company ID
  • Philippine Identification (PhilID) Card
