Rey Remogat erupted with a new career-high 34 points and helped  steer University of the East to an 87-86 overtime win over Far Eastern University in the second round of the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament on Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

With the win, the Warriors revived their Final Four bid as they improved to 4-6. The Tamaraws slipped to 3-7.

Remogat finished with 6-of-11 shooting from the field apart from posting eight assists, six rebounds and three steals.

Abdul Sawat, for his part, registered 20 markers, six rebounds and five assists.

Interestingly, UE similarly staged a come-from-behind victory over FEU, which blew away its lead in the fourth period.

The game was knotted at 77-all in the extra time following Jorick Bautista’s three-pointer.

However, the Red Warriors began to pull away with a 10-0 counter capped by Remogat’s two freebies from the line to stay clear of the Tamaraws with a 10-point advantage.
