Eat Bulaga: Bullet Jalosjos Admits Artists They Invited Are ‘Takot’

Bullet Jalosjos told new Eat Bulaga hosts that TVJ is irreplaceable

TAPE Inc. chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos revealed that the artists they contacted to be the new hosts of Eat Bulaga felt afraid to accept the offer.

For four decades, the longest-running noontime show is synonymous with TVJ, the legendary trio composed of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. The three veteran stars started it all and now they are faced with a controversy.

TVJ left TAPE Inc. and their decision was followed by other Dabarkads. With this, the show’s producer had to get a new set of hosts to do the job vacated by the previous hosts.

In an interview, based on the article in PEP, Bullet Jalosjos admitted that it was a challenge for them to get new hosts as some really expressed fear with the thought of filling the place vacated by TVJ.

“Even yung mga talents na tinatawagan—takot. We have to convince them that ‘You’re not trying to fill any shoe… You have to understand it’s the show,” the TAPE CFO said.

Bullet also said to the new hosts of Eat Bulaga that they are there not to replace the TVJ because that trio is already the icon that they are.

“You’re just here to ensure na makapagbigay kami ng saya, mapagpatuloy namin yung duty namin as a show to entertain every Filipino at a certain time of the day,” the production company’s executive said.

Bullet also admitted that it was really hard for them and until now, talks are still ongoing. On the other hand, they are happy that there were celebrities who accepted their offer to be part of the new Eat Bulaga.
