Xyriel Manabat Admits She’s A Big Fan Of Judy Ann Santos
Xyriel Manabat talked about her acting career
Kapamilya actress Xyriel Manabat admitted that she is a big fan of soap opera queen Judy Ann Santos.
Xyriel started her acting career at a young age. Judy Ann was also a child star who became a household name because of her acting caliber and how she displayed the emotions of her characters, especially in dramatic scenes.
As an actress, Xyriel said during a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, that she wants to be recognized through her acting caliber. She said that she does not want to be called an actress just because of fame.
For her, she gives more value to being recognized as an actress because of her performances. “Ayoko po ng actress lang by fame. Gusto ko pong actress dahil sa line of work, sa craft and sa performance ko po,” she said.
Then, she shared that she needs to learn in her craft and in life as well. The young actress said that she needs to learn how not to be drained in what she does. Xyriel Manabat said that she should not be devoured by her role but instead, she should learn how to control her characters.
When asked who is her “idol” when it comes to acting, Xyriel immediately mentioned Juday. “Judy Ann Santos po ever since! Siya lang po talaga ‘yung pinapanood namin ni mama. Tapos iba po ‘yung charm niya,” she said.
Xyriel Manabat recalled the time when the soap opera queen guested on her series 100 Days to Heaven in 2011. The younger actress said that she had no idea at that time and when she came to the set, she was surprised that Juday was there.
“Nagtago po ako sa ilalim ng lamesa kasi hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya babatiin, kung pwede ko ba siya i-hug, i-shake hands,” Xyriel said, adding that she was so happy at that time.
