Nestle Philippines’ Milo launched its Active Pilipinas campaign to steer children back into sports as health protocols continued to ease up.

In the 2022 Philippine report card on physical activity for children and adolescents, 84 percent of Filipino adolescents have become insufficiently active due to the restrictions of the pandemic that had almost kept everyone at home.

“We’re very excited to energize the nation once again and get Filipino kids back into sports after almost three years of staying at home. Let’s work together for a more active Pilipinas in the way, we nourish champion journeys of Filipinos together,” said Milo Philippines senior vice presideng Veronica Cruz during the event’s launch at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Through the Milo Active Pilipinas, the brand will be encouraging the nation to get more involved in sports again with its five major programs lined up this year namely Milo Champ Camp, Milo Barangay Liga, Milo Sports Clinics, Milo Marathon and events and partnerships.

Milo has also launched one of its newest ambassadors in Filipino Olympic pole vaulter EJ Obiena who recently bagged his first silver medal of the year at the Internationales Springer-Meeting in Cottbus, Germany.
